Boys should wear cricket whites (Epsom Cricket Club shirt and white cricket trousers) for matches. (Shorts or tracksuit bottoms are only acceptable for training).  Girls wear a coloured club shirt with cricket whites or navy playing trousers.

The Club will supply protective equipment for those needing it (U’10s and below), with the exception of an abdominal guard (box) which must be supplied by the player and worn with appropriate underwear.  Many members prefer to use all their own protective equipment (pads, batting gloves, helmet and possibly a thigh guard). The Club will supply limited protective equipment from U11 upwards but most players at this stage have their own protective kit.

Each boys age group between U’8 and U’15 will have a team(s) entered in the West Surrey Youth Cricket League and the West Surrey Development League. Fixtures are on Saturday or Sunday mornings and weekday evenings (these are usually Monday or Tuesdays evenings but this does vary depending on pitch availability).

Girls have the own U13 development team entered in the West Surrey League and will also have the opportunity to play in tournaments and friendly matches.  Tournaments tend to be on Sundays.

Fixtures details will be provided by Team Managers, who will select teams based on availability, coach recommendation and training performance.  Team Managers will attempt to rotate players so that all who wish to play (and make themselves available to play) can do so.

Please respond to requests for match availability promptly. A player selected who has not responded to an invitation 48 hours before a match will be dropped to allow adequate time to find a replacement.  Some Team Managers use a website called to confirm availability and notify selection.

Older Juniors may be invited to play in the Surrey Development League on Sunday afternoons, and for the Adult teams on Saturday afternoons. Older Girls may be invited to play for the Ladies on Sundays and occasionally on weekday evenings.  Adult team selection is decided by the respective Team Captains who will consult with coaches, team managers and parents.
